All right...here goes. I'm 24 years old, married, and have a 3 year old little girl. I have a dog and cats in addition to the fish. I had snakes and an Iguana and a Tokay Gecko until I became pregnant with my daughter (fear of salmonella and baby getting hurt), so as you can see I like animals in general. I have found I enjoy keeping the fish the most. I've always had a fish or two, but got my first real (not plastic Wal-mart!) tank about two years ago. I didn't get really into fish until about a year and a half ago when I had a rash of fish deaths after following the LFS advice on "cycling" a tank (put it together, let run couple of days, throw in as many fish as you want). I lost some really great fish (expensive too) including a baby clown loach and a parrot fish I was REALLY fond of. I wanted to know why they died, so I ended up on the boards.
On a more personal note, I'm going back to school, and am taking courses at a community college, so my life is pretty boring but hectic right now. Just school, work, family, and of course, the fish board! That's probably much more than you all wanted to know, but there it is.
